The Dangers of Texting While Driving

My husband's cousin posted this video on Facebook tonight. WOW. Talk about a reality check. My children are between 6 to 12 years from getting their driver's licenses. I'm hoping by then we have cars with automatic pilots.

I do have young cousins, nieces, and a nephew that I worry about; not to mention all of the adults in my life that own and operate a cell phone while driving.

Every driver should see this, especially teenagers. It is very graphic and is recommended for 18 and older but if they wait till 18 to see it, they may not reach 18.

Parents may want to watch this by themselves first, but then, PLEASE do so with your kids. Explain to them that if they HAVE TO phone or text, pull over and stop in a SAFE location first, THEN use the phone.

Please remember this video before you answer that next text message while driving.

This is why I only have a pay as you go. I am just worried about other drivers on the road. Thanks for sharing.

What a sobering message. I will admit that I have in the past texted while driving, when I felt like I had to, but umm. Now? I will never text and drive again. Your reality check stuck me. My own son will be driving within the next 2 years, and I cannot imagine something like this happening. Thank you for sharing.

Oh my God. That was horrible. I don't drive yet, but I freak out when my parents take out their phones while driving. Thank you for sharing this. I will send it to everyone I know.
