My readers are going to start dropping like flies unless I start posting more. I've been spending a lot of time with my Blub Blub Sisters over here. Our BlubHer Overhaul officially started yesterday and I'm trying to get myself healthy. By the way, it's not too late to join us. We've got a great bunch of women there that are simply amazing. Everyone is TREMENDOUSLY supportive. Send me an email if you'd like to jump on the bandwagon.
So, get this. R. went to school yesterday and she went IN smiling!! Um hum...yes she did! I was so proud and excited. She's starting to really enjoy herself now. I am so happy for her.
Now, if I could stop her from poopin' in her drawers. She did well today, but she's been having accidents constantly. I would say it's nerves from school, but it started long before school was an issue.
It's really just a case of being too involved in what she is doing to stop and use the toilet. The other day she had another accident and unfortunately for him, Mr. Schmitty had clean-up duty. I needed to stay in the other room because I was afraid I might rub her nose in it like you would a naughty puppy.
When she came out of the bathroom she said, "Mom, do you know WHY I pooped in my pants?"
I replied, "Um, because you were being too lazy to get up and use the toilet?"
To which she responded, "Well, that's the first reason."
The things she says...OY! And here is another R.ism...though it's totally unrelated to poop or flies, it is just as darned cute.
We were watching tv in her room the other day and a commercial came on for ForReal Friends. They have a new dog which now rolls over.
"Look mama, isn't he cute?"
I thought to myself, "No, not really." It really is kind of an ugly pooch but I told her, "Yes, R., he is."
"I like him!"
Of course she does. She is the stuffed doggie QUEEN! "He can even tumble!"
"I know mama, just like a weed!!"

I Should Really Think These Things Through
On Father's Day of this year, it was also my father-in-law's birthday. He passed away 4 years ago. W. was very close to his grandfather and misses him very much. T. and R. were so young when he died, but they are often told about him, so that we can keep his memory alive. In their rooms, each child has a picture of him holding them as infants.
The morning of his birthday, the kids drew pictures and wrote letters to grandpa. We then purchased two balloons and tied the pictures to it with ribbon. We went to his gravesite and sang Happy Birthday as we released the balloons. The kids were thrilled that grandpa's gifts were going to him in heaven.
Fast forward a few weeks. The toilet is backed up and on the verge of overflowing. I get the water turned off underneath, just in time. I give R. the evil eye.
"Must you put a zillion wipes in the toilet?"
"I didn't mommy!" She exclaims.
"Okay, then it must have been toilet paper or tissues."
"NO, wrrrrroooong again!"
My blood is starting to boil as I'm plunging away.
"R. what did you put in the potty?"
"Notes."
"Notes? What do you mean notes?" I asked, completely baffled.
SHHHHWWOOOSH. Oh.Thank.GOD!
"Me and T. wrote notes and sent them to heaven for the fishes!" She announced, completely proud of herself.
I swear those fish are going to haunt me for the rest of my life!

Girls Are As Good As Boys!
While driving to pick up T. from preschool on Friday, W. starts up a conversation from the back of the van.
"Hey mom, guess how much extra time we got at recess today."
I ask, "I don't know, how many more minutes?"
"Ten. We normally get 40 minutes but today we got 50."
"Wow, that's great. Why? Good behavior?" I say, thinking that was probably a long shot.
"Nope, because of the foul odor."
"Foul odor? What foul odor?"
"The one that filled up the whole 4th grade hall. The one that came from the bathroom!"
"Ewwww. So, one of the guys stopped up the boy's room toilet, huh?"
"NO! It was the girl's room. One of them took a big dump, I didn't know girls could do that!"
"Do what? Stop up the toilet?"
"No, take a big dump!"
It's not just a boy's sport anymore!
