Okay, Who pissed off Mother Nature?

Yesterday was 73 degrees. I was wearing my capri's, tee, and sneakers. Yea! Spring has sprung. Today, it's 34 degrees and we are in the process of a rain/ice storm. WTF?

It's gotta be that black cloud that's been following me around, for what, my entire life? Darn Irish Luck! Okay, so I'm mostly Swedish. But I do have enough Irish blood running through my veins and tomorrow's St. Patrick's Day for crying out loud! Why so miffed, you ask? I have my doctor's appointment today! And the roads are a sheet of ice and considering I don't sleep much, I refuse to drive the 30 minutes. Because what's the point of finding out what's wrong with my stomach if I'm wrapped around a telephone pole? Actually, maybe I could get quicker answers if I went through the emergency room. Hmmm...okay, so I'm not being rational. Anyway, at least I only have to wait until Monday.

Now, I have a question for you all. Does anyone have a son in cub scouts? The annual Pinewood Derby is next week. This being our first year at this, we just assumed we took the kit and put everything together, slapped on some paint, and voilĂ ....a cute little car for W. to race. WRONG! The car, well, it's not a car, yet. It's a block of wood. You have to actually cut the car shape out. With power tools. Sharp power tools. Ones.that.cut.off.body.parts. Not Mr. Schmitty's forte. Anyone know if there is a guy, maybe in an alley somewhere, with a trunk full of Derby cars? I swear, I'll pay big!

Yeah, creepster weather here too. It sucks.

And no idea about the cub scout thing. I was a brownie once, though for almost a month. Liv has no interest in scouts except to eat their cookies....

Good luck, though....

Just survived the storm here as well. Snow, sleet and freezing rain. No power outage here, nor falls on my butt...

yet.

We received more snow here than ice, thankfully. We don't do Cub Scouts yet, but thinking about it! Good Luck in the Derby! There better be pics! :)
